On 2 July there took place the Success awarding ceremony in the administration of the Saratov City Municipal Structure. The audience consisted of school, college, and university students, their parents, administration of educational institutions, and other guests. Saratov University was represented by SSU Rector Aleksei N. Chumachenko, Vice-Rector for Youth Policy and Organisational Work Anton V. Golovchenko, and the students-awardees.
‘There are many traditions in Saratov, and one of them is to support talented youth. In 2015 the Success Award for young talented people was established, and it is given annually to young people aged from 14 to 30 who live in Saratov and have achieved high results at work, in arts, sports, research or public activity,’ said the ceremony host.
Head of the Saratov City Municipal Structure Mikhail A. Isayev gave 18 diplomas to talented Saratov young people. He congratulated them and asked to share their ideas.
‘All of you are active representatives of young generations. Some of you go to school or university, others already work, but all of you strive to scale the heights in different spheres – culture, sports, volunteering, and research. Tell the world about yourself and your achievements and always move ahead,’ commented Mikhail Isayev.
A student of the SSU Faculty of Law Ibragim Bagayev became the winner of the Notable Education and Research Achievements nomination. He has received the grad-prix in international research and research-to-practice conferences for three times. Also he has won in the Prosecutor Supervision section at the V International Law Forum. Besides, Ibragim has published 14 research papers in different scientific journals.
A youth manager of the Office of Student Educational Work and Youth Programmes Nadezhda Yamiyeva won the Best Young Specialist of the Year nomination. She is a member of the Russian Student Brigades, the initiator and the head of the Cherry pedagogical brigade. Her brigade has gained the victory in the Best Student Brigade contest for several times.
A student of the SSU Faculty of Sociology Elizabeth Pyanzina became the winner of the Best Volunteer of the Year nomination. Elizabeth has also gained the victory in the 2018 Volunteer of Russia All-Russian Contest. Besides, she has been awarded with a grant to organise a city festival promoting a healthy lifestyle.
‘I am proud to represent Saratov University at that contest. My award symbolises the high level of volunteering in the city and the region. We will develop that sphere with great pleasure,’ added Elizabeth.
SSU Rector Aleksei Chumachenko expressed his gratitude to the Success Award moderators.
‘The contestants participate not only for money and applauses. They want the ideas to be acknowledged and needed. Young specialists are really demanded in the city and in the region. I have no doubts that all of you are rightly here because you have worked really hard to become successful,’ said the rector.
Letters of appreciation of the administration of the Saratov City Municipal Structure were given to a student of the Institute of Philology and Journalism Anastasia Trukhachyova and a student of the Institute of Chemistry Dennis Yashin.
