Rozhkov
Vladimir
Petrovich
Rozhkov, Vladimir Petrovich is a specialist in Social Philosophy and History of National and Religious Philosophy. He is a Professor and holds a Terminal degree in Philosophy. For over twenty years he has been working in the university. He is a Chair of the Department of Theology and Religious Studies.
In 1969, Rozhkov, V.P. finished College of Electronics and entered Saratov State University Faculty of History. He graduated in 1974 and went on to graduate studies defending his PhD thesis on democracy issues in 1980.
In the beginning of his scientific career, Prof. Rozhkov mainly studies Politics Philosophy concerning himself with issues of power, management and democracy. Then his interests moved to Marxist methodology of social processes analysis. In the end of the 1990s he studied problems of public conscience and civilization dynamics, issues of national philosophy history and Russian religious worldview. He participated in the discussion of the role of Russian intelligentsia and religious philosophy in re-evaluation of public conscience. He defended his doctoral degree thesis “Civilization Standard and Value Orientation of Public Conscience” in 1999.

Rozhkov, V.P. supervises the work of students and graduate students. He is a scientific advisor of Master program in Philosophy (History of Russian Philosophy) and Theology (Orthodox Theology).
