My dear friends!
II would like to congratulate you on one of the main holidays of our youth – the Day of Russian Students! It goes back to the middle of the XVIII century celebrating the time when enlightenment was a matter of national importance. The foundation of Moscow University in 1755 is the greatest event in Russian history that determined the fate of national education.
This holiday is celebrated by modern students; it shows a continuity of generations and student traditions. Today proves that young people of Russia are eager for knowledge, know how to use it, know how to have a great time and experience something new. Enthusiasm, bright emotions, will to create – these are the qualities of Saratov students that help them get over any troubles. Additionally our students lead healthy life style.
My dear friends! Most of you have successfully passed winter exams. The most difficult exams are passed. It is time to remember we are young only once and celebrate this beautiful day. May the holy patroness Tatiana help you in your good deeds! I wish you health and wealth, loyal friends and fair teachers!
Happy holiday!
Saratov Region Governor V.V. Radaev
