SSU won Grand-Prix of the “Musikalischer Regenbogen” international festival

Saratov State University won Grand-Prix of the II “Musikalischer Regenbogen” international festival that took place in Frankfurt and Wiesbaden on December 4-8, 2014. The festival was organized by the international charity foundation “Our Future”.

Young artists from all over the world showed their talents in different creative disciplines. Seven Institute of Arts students represented SSU. Their trip was organized as part of “UNIVERiA” project.

The festival opened in Wiesbaden on December 5. There the participants presented their exhibition performance. Also they made presentations of their universities.

Competitive program started in Frankfurt on December 7. Every participant showed two unit items in one of disciplines: instrumental music, vocal, folk singing, vocal ensemble, variety, jazz, choreography. The jury consisted of the leading art figures of Germany and Russia, including the SSU Institute of Arts Director I.E. Rakhimbaeva.

Saratov university students showed their professionalism and talents which helped them to win first prizes and get the Grand-Prix of the festival.

First-year student Andrei Dmitriev became the winner in “Wind instruments” discipline; second-year Master student Elena Pnkova won the first prize in “Folk singing” and second-year student Anastasia Karpova got the second prize; first-year student Alexandr Savin was a winner of “Jazz” contest; second-year student Elena Linnik won “Modern dance” discipline; Viktoria Rozhdestvenskaya got the first prize in “Show dance” under guidance of the Institute of Arts graduate Svetlana Skonzhenko; fifth-year students Maria Sokolova and Dariana Sokolova won the second prize in “Ballroom dance”.

SSU Institute of Arts won the Grand-Prix of the festival. They were invited to participate in the international competition in Minsk and exhibition in Wiesbaden.
