From March 23 to March 28, Saratov State University is to host the 11th Research-to-Education Festival, the Week of Pedagogical Education. For the eleventh time, SSU will bring together school principals, teachers, classroom teachers, university teaching staff, and students – future teachers. This year, the topic of the large-scale event is The Russian School Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow.
The festival will start on March 23: for three days, there will work the school for the SSU applicant who are going to take pedagogical courses, Intensive_PRO. The participants will attend interactive lectures, educational trips, drama workshops, a musical lounge, as well as role-playing and team games. Learn more about the school programme.
The plenary session Thinking about the Fate of the Russian School will be held on March 25 at 10 a.m. in the Assembly Hall, Bldg. 10. Its members will talk about the present and future of the school, consider the importance of the school as an ecosystem of meanings and events. The discussion is planned to be as short lectures.
On the same day, in the SSU classrooms, the teaching staff will discuss key issues of modern education, as well as scientific and methodological issues. The discussion platforms will be devoted to the following topics: Multitasking of Modern Education and Pupil Health, How to Set the Right Guidelines in Children’s Life, Psychological Well-being of Teachers, Schoolchildren, and Parents: Communicative Aspect, and Another World. Another Child. Another Teacher: The Mainstream of Tomorrow.
This year, the Step into the Profession professional skills contest turns 20 years old. On March 26, the prize-winners of previous years, students, and teachers will gather at SSU. The permanent members of the jury, Dmitrii Loginov and Oxana Puchkova, will talk about the competitive movement among teachers and give advice how to take part in such contests successfully. Together, the experts and the participants will develop the "Step into the Profession" provision for the next year.
On March 27, bachelors and undergraduates will test their knowledge at the olympiad in pedagogy School Forever. At the same time, Physics Teachers’ Day at Saratov State University will be held, where teachers will be presented with innovative approaches to teaching science.
On the final day of the festival, on March 28, on the main stage of SSU, the participants will indulge into the summer atmosphere at the leadership training camp Pedagogy of Holidays and summarise the results of the forum.
It should be noted that the Week of Pedagogical Education has become one of the hallmarks of Saratov State University. For 11 years, the festival has become famous in the region and in the country as an exemplary platform for conversations about modern schools and discussions about innovative education. The content of the programme changes every year and adapts to new forms, reflecting the most important topics for teachers and students.
The festival is held as part of the strategic project of Saratov State University Teachers in the Educational Paradigm under the Priority 2030 programme.
