College of Radioelectronics is one of the oldest secondary professional education institutions in Saratov. Multiple times it has been a platform for regional Olympiads. This year it also hosted professional skills competitions in different areas.
Every year college teachers organize thematic weeks. Their program includes quizzes, competitions, intellectual tournaments where they find student leaders in different professional areas and specialties.
According to the College deputy director for methodological work I.N. Tolmacheva, students’ victories are no accidents. “We believe these results are typical. Thematic weeks have become a tradition. When choosing task we know that similar ones could be used intellectual competiton of regional, All-Russia and international levels. Knowing how to solve them might be helpful for our students”.
Success in Olympiads came early this academic year. For example, in November 2015 group of student supervised by A.Yu. Budiukov and A.V. Krivozubova participated in the I stream of All-Russia thematic Olympiad that was part of All-Russia social project “Country of Talents” on Informatics. Three students – Artur Grauman, Svetlana Gracheva and Victoria Pleshivtseva – got winners certificates.
In the beginning of March, secondary professional education institutions students tested their Russian language knowledge. Olympiad participants solved tasks in Phonetics, Orthoepy, Phraseology, Morphemics, Word Building, Morphology, Syntaxes, Punctuation, Stylistics and Spelling. Aleksandr Romanenko showed the best result in Phonetics and Orthoepy. Anastacia Demidova won the second place in Phraseology. The winners were trained by O.Yu. Yanikova and Yu.V. Tiukalova.
Two successful Olympiads in “Computer Systems and Complexes” and “Programming” took place on March 19. Ilya Sklemin and Nikita Pastukhov won first and second places in Computer Systems and Complexes. Aleksey Eremin won Programming Olympiad. At the regional stage, the best programmers were Julia Volkova and Anton Anufriev. The students were trained by V.P. Volkov and A.Yu. Budiukov.
On March 21, Saratov hosted a regional professional championship WorldSkills Russia “Young Professionals”. At the tournament, the College was represented by students and teachers who evaluated the work. Anton Samsonov won the second place in Graphic Design. Next year College workers hope to win and participate in the federal championship.
Students demonstrated great results in several professional skills competitions. For instance, Denis Semeniak won at the regional stage of All-RussiaOlympiad in “Engineering Technology” that took place on March 30. He received a certificate for distant learning program “Be an Engineer” from the competition’s partner Ascon Company and won the right to participate in the All-Russia stage. His fellow student Dmitri Yarovoy also showed good results.
The Olympiad included testing, professional and practical tours. Professional task was to develop a technological process for a component part production. During the practical part students had to make a part using general purpose lathe. According to experts, tasks difficulty level corresponded to 2-3 lathe operator skill category. The students were trained by G.V. Kitanina and A.A. Plotnikov.
College of Radionelectronics students won four out of five sections of the regional professional skills competition in Economics and Accounting that took place on March 30. The winners are: Anna Shkunova in Accounting Basics (supervisor – N.P. Chernaya); Anna Lebedinets in Organization Economics (supervisor – N.S. Kondyreva); the team of Denis Bartle, Sukhray Gakhramanov and Artem Antonov showed the best result in Management (supervisor – O.V. Aleshina). Elena Frolova got the third place in Statistics (supervisor – O.V. Aleshina). Last year, Maria Trokina won the All-Russia Olympiad in Economics.
The last professional skills Olympiad took place in College of Radioelectronics on April 4. it tested students knowledge in “Technical Operation and Maintenance of Electrical and Electro-mechanic Eqipment”. The tasks helped to determine the students’ level of training, their knowledge of functional lexis, problem solving skills and motivation to be creative in their work. The main topics were Transformers and Direct-current Machines.
College of Radioelectronics students Konstantin Vasin and Nikolay Baldin got the winners’ certificates and a right to participate in the All-Russia competition. They also became candidates for Talented Youth Award. Their group mate Pavel Dmitriev won the second place.
This is not the end of the College Olympiad work. On April 1, Math and Matural Science week came to its end. The Week’s program included presentations, Olympiads in Mathematics and Chemistry, a conference, intellectual tournament and other competitions. The winners could participate in regional Olympiad of the next academic year.
