Prof. Levin’s life is closely knit with Saratov State University: a student, graduate student, engineer, senior research fellow, assistant, associate professor, professor.

Yu.I. Levin is an experiences teacher. He has been the Dean of Faculty of Nonlinear Processes since its foundation in 1994. During that time there opened 2 main departments and three corporate ones: Department of Nonlinear Physics, Department of Open Systems Physics, Corporate Department of Dynamic Systems. The Faculty has five new laboratories.

Prof. Levin helped to open a new experimental specialty “Nonlinear open system physics” and two new courses “Applied mathematics and physics” and “Information systems and technologies”.

He has over 100 published scientific works. Prof. Levin worked as a coordinator of the Research center “Nonlinear dynamics and biophysics” under Russian-American international program “Fundamental research and higher education”.

Since 1970 he has been a member of organization boards of international and local workshops and conferences on radiophysics and microwave electronics, free chaotic vibrations and structure formation, Soros teachers conference in Saratov region, etc.

Yu.I. Levin is a member of the education board on Physics (Moscow) and Applied mathematics and physics (Moscow).
