4-year student of SSU Institute of Sports and Physical Training Kira Stepanova won the first place at the World Rowing and Canoeing Cup in teams of four on 200 meters. At the 500-meter distance she and her team came second.

The World Rowing Cup finals took place on Lake Bagsværd (Denmark) on May 31, 2015. 350 sportsmen from 32 countries participated in the competition. Kira Stepanova together with Elena Aniushina (Moscow region/Mordovia), Vera Sobetova (Lipetsk region) and Svetlana Chernigovskaia (Volgograd region) got 0.02 seconds ahead of the Canadian team. China came third losing 0.108 seconds to the winner.
