Journalism contestants had the most difficult time in Vladivostok. Their work started right after they reached the place. “We just had time to eat something and brush up a little and started working right away”, says student Julia Akhmedova. “We had two sleepless nights and spent 8 hours in a plane, so that was really difficult. But adrenaline makes you forget about sleep, food and terrible cold. I thought only about what to write, how to make it interesting and original. All people were very friendly; it was a great pleasure to work with such open and drive people! They were dancing and singing all the time and having fun. But this atmosphere is difficult to describe, you have to feel it!”
“Russian Student Spring” gathered about 2000 contestants from over 60 Russian regions. This was the first time the Far East region hosted such an event. 34 experts from different areas were at the jury, among them were rock musician Ilya Lagutenko, MTV channel CEO Yana Churikova, “Music on First” channel chief editor Boris Khludnev, actor Nikita Vysotskiy, choreograph Egor Druzhinin, director Boris Grachevski and others.
