Saratov State University Master student of the Faculty of Law Tatiana Bogdanova won the XII interregional festival “Tatiana of the Volga Region – 2015”. The final round took place on the Day of Russian Students, January 25, in Izhevsk. 10 applicants from the Volga Federal district competed for the title. The event was organized by the last year winner Udmurt State University.
Three days the girls took part in workshops and trainings, worked with choreographers and make-up artists, rehearsed their parts of the show and defile, participated in photo shoots.
On January 23, the Udmurt State University held a press conference where the applicants shared their plans for the future. “I believe acting will help me in my future work”, says SSU Master student Tatiana Bogdanova, “and creative work – and beauty contest means creative work and self-fulfillment – will help developing conscience and find new solutions”.
The cultural program included visits to the Natural history museum, Sharkane park, and cooking studio.
The exhibition performance took place at the National Udmurt Theatre on January 25 and included competition in three categories: video presentation, runway show in national and evening dress, talent show.
The concert started with the show where the applicants presented as a modern student. Tatiana Bodganova presented as a Themis. Blindfolded and with a pair of scales in her hands, she tried to answer a question What is more important in her life: science or art? In the end she made the scales even and said: “It does not matter what is more important. The most important thing is harmony”.
SSU Master student also presented her artistic show with some elements of extravaganza and a video about Saratov made by SSU Film Studio.
The competition ended with a runway show in evening dresses awards ceremony. Our Saratov applicant won the first place a got a hand-made crown.
Tatiana Bodganova said she came to Izhevsk to win. “I am very proud that this is the first time Saratov participates in the festival and we have won! This is not only my personal victory, this is an achievement of my university and my city”.
Tatiana Bodganova is a graduate of the Institute of History and International Relations. Now she is a Master student of the Faculty of Law. She is the Head of the Regional Center of Graduate Employment and Labor Market Adaptation and does a lot of volunteer work. Two yers ago Tatiana won the “Miss SSU” title.
According to the festival rules, next beauty contest “Tatiana of the Volga region – 2016” will happen at Saratov State University.
