Antimicrobial nanomedicine & nanobiotechnology group.
Research activities are focused into the development of new strategies based on nanotechnology to succumb infections caused by antimicrobial resistant bacteria. Group is following two strategies: (i) development of smart delivery system, where its triggering is built on the basis of the detailed knowledge of physiology and biochemistry of the pathogenic bacteria and (ii) development of methods of surface modification of microorganisms to increase the immunisation of the host and trigger microbial activity at a particular site of the body.
