SSU Students to Attend Science of the Future – the Science of the Young Forum

From September 20 to September 23, the two key events of the second year of the Decade of Science and Technology in the Russian Federation – the 5th Science of the Future International Scientific Conference and the 8th Science of the Future – the Science of the Young All-Russian Youth Scientific Forum are held in Orel at the site of Orel State University named after I.S. Turgenev.

Four young researchers of Saratov State University are taking part in the event.

Vladimir Frolov, a master's degree student of the Faculty of Geology, with his research on the isolation of geological layers in seismic sections using neural network technologies is to present it in the Earth Sciences, Ecology, and Rational Nature Management section. In the Social Sciences section, there are to deliver their reports Ivan Kirnosov, a postgraduate student of the Faculty of Law (the research on the protection of historical memory in the system of Russian constitutional law), and Damir Nizamov, a student of the same faculty (the research on the peculiarities of the ideological and value attitudes of the provincial youth of Russia). In the Chemistry and Chemical Technologies section, Ksenia Shipenok, a master’s degree student of the Institute of Chemistry, has become a finalist.

‘I have got to the forum and conference due to the to the finals of the 8th All-Russian contest of research papers of students and postgraduates. My research is devoted to the study of approaches to the production of biologically active chitosan asparaginate nanoparticles, the use of which as biostimulators increases seed germination, as well as accelerates the growth, vegetation, and yield of plants. I am pleased with the high level of organisation of the event, the opportunity to get acquainted not only with specialists in their Chemistry and Chemical Technologies section, but also to establish interdisciplinary cooperation with research groups from various Russian cities,’ Ksenia Shipenok said.

The event schedule of the forum includes more than 30 lectures, seminars, panel discussions, and master classes, as well as the presentation of the results of research conducted with the support of the Russian Ministry of Higher Education and Science.

More than 300 students and postgraduates, as well as leading scientists from Russia, France, Great Britain, Greece, Sweden, Australia, Malaysia, and other countries are taking part in the events, and the total number of participants is more than 600 people.

The forum was initiated by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, and the directorate of the forum is the Inconsult company – the operator of the Megagrants and The Cooperation of Science and Business programmes.

Students of the Institute of the Philology and Journalism Aelita Ponomareva, Polina Gromova, and Victoria Kuznetsova are working in the team of the media centre of the forum entitled The Science of the Future – the Science of the Young forum.
