Further professional training on state policy in higher education and educational technologies finished on December, 3. The program was developed for 32 young teachers of all educational units of Saratov State University. Two weeks they visited lectures, workshops, business games and trainings at Stolypin Volga Region Institute of Administration. Their final work was a PechaKucha group presentation.

Presentation were evaluated by a commission that included Vice-rector for educational work E.G. Elina, Vice-rector for research work A.V. Stalmakhov, Associate professor of the Department of History and Historiography I.V. Yaster, Chair of the Department of Pedagogy E.I. Balakireva, Associate Professor of the Department of Dynamic Modeling and Biomedical Engineering I.V. Sysoev, Associate Professor of the Department of Theoretical and Social Philosophy D.A. Anikin, Deputy Director of the Institute of Further Professional Training of Stolypin Volga Region Institute of Administration V.L. Korotina.

The participants chose various topics for presentation ranging from history and geology of oil and uranium in the XX century to problem-posing education technologies: interactive distance technologies, non-traditional lecture types, student-teacher cooperation methods. Program participants also shared their teaching materials that use the new knowledge. For example, presentations on pedagogy workshop “Advertisement Festival” and defending student business projects. It is important to mention that the majority of young teachers worked together with colleagues from other faculties so the projects were interdisciplinary or universal in character, they could be used in natural science and in humanities.

The commission and the audience asked lots of questions, some presentations provoked a heated discussion. The general atmosphere was very friendly and family-like. The commission praised highly the participants’ work and thanked them for active participation in the educational process.

The organizers made a surprise for program participants to celebrate the end of the course – fridge magnets and graduation caps. Vice-rector for educational work E.G. Elina congratulated “the graduates” at the certificate award ceremony: “You made a great impression on our colleagues, teachers and, I hope, on each other. You broke the boundary of your scientific area, shared your experience and got new knowledge. I wish you would keep the contacts you established here”. Prof. Elina also thanked representatives of Stolypin Volga Region Institute of Administration.

Vice-rector for research work A.V. Stalmakhov sided with her saying the new knowledhe would help the participants to successfully carry out their research and teaching work. Deputy Director of the Institute of Further Professional Training of Stolypin Volga Region Institute of Administration V.L. Korotina thanked Saratov State University for prolific cooperation.

The course graduates Associate Professor of the Department of World History D.M. Krelenko and Associate Professor of the Department of Youth Sociology E.V. Saiganova addressed the organizers and the teachers thanking them. They mentioned how the program brought them all closer to their colleagues and representatives of other faculties.

Further professional training program took place on November, 23 – December, 3. Most courses were given by SSU teachers who work hard on organizing the educational process, implementing new educational programs and technologies.
