On December 25th, Saratov State University opened Children’s educational center. The center is located at the SSU Young Scientists House at 12 Rabochaia Street. SSU Rector A.N. Chumachenko and university administration representatives participated at the opening ceremony.
The Center’s main goal is developing talents and abilities of children of different ages.
SSU Rector A.N. Chumachenko welcomed the guests. “It is great that we start New Year’s holidays with the opening of a new educational unit. I wish that place becomes your true home where you will learn drawing, acting, bringing your ideas to life”, said the Rector.
“Spirit of Knowledge” met the guests at the entrance and showed them around. “We are happy to welcome you at our celebration. This house is open for every one who is talented and creative; its rooms are full of magic”, said the young conferencier.
The first room is for music and art studies. Academy for Young Learners ‘Top-Top’ presented their musical show. Then the guest went to the study room where they participated in an English lesson.
Head of Language Center ‘Dialogue’ A.S. Bolshakova presented video messages from colleagues from abroad, from language schools SSU has longstanding partnership with. The opening of the Center will help developing new educational projects.
Vice-rector for organizational and analytical work T.G. Zakharova noticed “the new unit is bound to be successful as it is created by people who love their work and love children”.
The head of the SSU Regional Center of Pre-university Education T.V. Goriunova told about the Center’s directions of work. “We want to broaden the area of pre-university education. The Center would be a perfect platform for educational programs including programs for pre-school children”.
Next year sections and groups of drawing, music, dance and foreign language study will start working at the Center. 3-5-year0old children could also participate in development trainings. The Center will employ the leading specialists in linguistics, psychology, arts, etc.
