On Thursday, on the Boulevard of Heroes of the Fatherland the certificates were given to note the appearing in the Honour Gallery of the Kirov District of Saratov. The event was timed to coincide with the celebration of City Day.
One of the residents of the city who received a well-deserved award for high achievements in social and economic development, fruitful professional and creativity, was Chair of the Department of National History and Historiography, the Institute of History and International Relations, Victor Danilov.
The delegation of Saratov State University was represented by Vice-Rector for Secondary Vocational Education and Social Work Olga Nesterova and Deputy Head of the Office for Social Work Marina Kabanova. The ceremony was attended by authorities and social activists. The awardees were congratulated by Head of the administration of Kirov District Sergei Pilipenko and Deputy of the Saratov Regional Duma Alexander Blatman.
Victor Danilov has Terminal Degree of History, Professor, Honourary Worker of Education of the Russian Federation, a full member of the Academy of Military Sciences of Russia, a member of the Central Council of the Russian Society of Historians and Archivists.
His research includes the history of the Great Patriotic War, the history of state institutions, local history, and historiography. Victor Danilov heads the Dissertation Council on History. He has supervised 19 dissertations, including two doctoral theses. The professor holds the post of Editor-in-Chief of the Izvestiya of Saratov University. History. International Relations journal.
Victor Danilov is a social activist, being a member of the public council under the administration of the government of Saratov Region and the Board of the Archives Department of the regional government.
Victor Danilov has received many awards, including letters of appreciation from the Governor, the Federal Archival Agency, and a certificate of honour from the Russian Ministry of Higher Education and Science.
