MediaVolga International Contest Has Been Opened in SSU

MediaVolga International for Young Journalist has united students all over the country. It started on December 21 in room 515 of the building XI. For the first time the forum is conducted by the Institute of Philology and Journalism with the help of IPJ Students Council and SSU Film Studio. 
 
Delegates from Voronezh, Kazan, Samara, Saransk, Belgorod, Pskov, Saint Petersburg, Ekaterinburg and Saratov gathered at the opening of the forum.
 
The start of the event was announced by the Head of IPJ University Laboratory of Mass Media R.I. Pavlenko.
 
After that IPJ Research Advisor, Doctor of Philology and chairman of the judges V.V. Prozorov greeted everyone and together with the audience discussed the most important traits of a professional journalist.
 
Then IPJ Director, associate professor of the Department of Literary Studies and Journalism and a member of the jury L.S. Borisova met young journalists and pointed out how important it was for SSU to host the international media forum. She also expressed hope for the event to become annual.
 
The nest to speak was the Head of SSU Office of Student Educational Work A.V. Golovchenko who mentioned that the opening of the forum was conducted within UNIVERiYA development program of student government.
 
Roman Igorevich continued introducing members of the jury to students. Among them were the Head of SSU Film Studio I.V. Prozorova, the Head of SSU Media Center K.A. Rozanov, associate professor of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication of Perm State University I.M. Pechishchev, the Head of TASS Special Projects Editors Office Eldar Sokolovm the Director of Media Communications Center, senior lecturer of Naberezhnye Chelny Insitute of Kazan Federal University R.R. Mukhametzyanova and the editor of Rossiya-24. Saratov TV-channel M.A. Rudych.
 
R.I. Pavlenko suggested that all the participants said a few words about their universities and work. Each young journalist made a short presentation of their project and shared some new ideas. The first to speak were representatives of SSU SGUshchonka student periodical.  The editor-in-chief Elena Krivitskaya and executive editor Aleksandra Dyakova shed light on the specific character of open editorship and shared some professional secrets.
 
Guests from other cities also spoke about their experience. Darya Aniskina from Belgorod presented her project “Dasha Was There” that is dedicated to touristic attractions of her city. Maria Avramenko from Voronezh State University told about her project “PodNadZorro” that is conducted in a form of a TV program in which Maria performs inspections in the canteens of universities.
 
In the end of the ceremony Roman Igorevich reminded participants about the workshops ahead that would last till December 23. On the third day of the forum the winners will be awarded prizes.
